TRIUMPH – Barbershop and Bluegrass, an evening of pure Americana entertainment, is coming to the Triumph Community Center (Ophir Community Building) on Saturday, May 24.

Bring a dish to pass and enjoy the food and community only an evening like this can provide. Dinner begins at 5:30 p.m. and entertainment begins at 6 p.m. There will be a $10 admission at the door for everyone 9 years old and older.

The evening will consist of two performances. Barbershop Quartet extraordinaire, 2nd Opinion, will kick off the evening with their fun and entertaining quartet style. 2nd Opinion is based out of Rockford and has been entertaining audiences in the Illinois/Wisconsin area for 19 years.  They are one of the top 10 rated groups in the Illinois district.  They are sure to entertain an audience of any age with harmony and humor in the old traditions of Barbershop’s style.

The headlining, bluegrass band, Maggie’s Ridge, will follow and close out the evening. Maggie's Ridge is a group of five of the most gifted musicians in Northern Illinois.  Although you may not recognize the name (yet), the members in Maggie’s Ridge bring over 100 years of bluegrass experience to the stage.  Their high energy, pure harmonies, and impeccable instrumentation, guarantees to bring you to your feet in excitement.

Don’t miss out on this Saturday evening of fun and entertainment.  You will not find a better, more cost-effective evening for the quality in your own back yard.

This event sponsored by Northern Illinois Bluegrass Association.
