The Illinois Assessment of Readiness tests were taken by Amboy Junior High School students in fifth through eighth grades from March 11-13.
The IAR tests are a state assessment and accountability measure for Illinois students enrolled in public schools. To excite the students before testing, teachers and staff lined the halls, played music, and cheered students on.
Students ran through banners that said, “You are a smart cookie,” “Smartie pants,” “Your are a Starburst of knowledge,” and “Chip chip hooray last testing day.”
