This week, Amboy High School juniors will be taking the ACT.
The ACT is returning as the state’s standardized test after many years of having the SAT administered to them.
Next week, the freshmen and sophomores will take the pre-ACT in order to see how they score, and we will get information on what they need to work on in order to succeed on the ACT as a junior. We are hoping all students come to school nourished and ready to do their best on the test.
Art students showcase their artwork in the junior/senior high school library. All students are putting their work on display in the library to allow their peers and the junior high students to see their work.
STEM students have been busy growing plants with hydroponics and building barn owl nesting boxes that will be put up around the county. Listed as endangered in Illinois, barn owls are helpful as they prey on rodents that damage crops and spread disease.
