And we’re off with the 2024-25 school year.
Amboy High School kicked off the year with the Student Council hosting a freshman/new student orientation where they played games, took a tour, made locker signs, and learned about some changes from junior high to high school. Haleigh Stenzel and Alainie Wittenauer put together the first day of school activities.
Students watched a homeroom video about setting goals, working hard for their dreams, and being their true self. The students were asked the question, “What can you do to embrace yourself?”
They worked through the day on their schedules, playing minute-to-win-it games, tug of war, BINGO, Alaskan Baseball, and Homecoming thoughts.
Logan Ketchum won the cup stacking game, the sophomores won tug of war, the Class of 2025 won the mat race, the freshmen won the egg race, and Maddie Althaus won head, shoulders, knees, cup.
