PERU – The Amboy boys’ wrestling team has been assigned to the Peru (St. Bede) Class 1A Individual Regional to be held Saturday, Feb. 8.
Other schools in the regional are Aurora (Central Catholic), Granville (Putnam County) [Coop], Lisle (Sr.), Mendota, Mooseheart, Ottawa (Marquette), Peru (St. Bede), Princeton, Sandwich and Somonauk [Coop].
In order to advance to the sectional round, a wrestler must finish first, second or third in his weight class. Advancing individuals will participate in the Oregon Sectional to be held Friday, Feb. 14 and Saturday, Feb. 15.
