Federal REAL ID Deadline Extended to Oct. 1, 2021

SPRINGFIELD — Illinois Secretary of State Jesse White announced today that the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has extended the federal REAL ID deadline an additional year to Oct. 1, 2021. DHS cited the COVID-19 pandemic and the impact the virus is having on the general public and driver’s license and ID card-issuing agencies nationwide. Earlier this month, White, along with other state and business leaders from around the country, called on DHS to extend the REAL ID deadline.

SPRINGFIELD – The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) today announced 673 new cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Illinois, including seven deaths; a man in his 50s, two men and two women in their 60s, a man in his 70s, and a woman in her 90s. Approximately 87% of fatalities are among patient 60 years of age and older.

LEE COUNTY — KSB Hospital has received a total of 39 results from COVID-19 testing and all results thus far are negative. 97 test results are still pending. While leaders are excited about these results, they are still operating under the belief that there are unconfirmed cases in Lee County. More test results are expected tomorrow. KSB Hospital drive thru testing will resume tomorrow.

Lee County Unified Executive Leadership Team COVID-19 Update: March 21, 2020 COVID-19 Testing: 33 Negative Tests

KSB Hospital has received a total of 33 results from COVID-19 testing and all results thus far are negative. 103 test results are still pending. While leaders are excited about these results, they are still operating under the belief that there are unconfirmed cases in Lee County. Today three additional cases were announced in our nine county IDPH region, two in Winnebago and the first case in DeKalb. There are now a total of five confirmed COVID-19 cases in the region.

Lee County Unified Executive Leadership Team COVID-19 Update: March 20, 2020

While there are still no confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Lee County, since it opened, the KSB Hospital drive thru COVID-19 testing site has tested a total of 136 people for COVID-19 who met clinical criteria for testing. It takes approximately four days to get the results. As of yesterday afternoon, there are 6 people quarantined and 78 people in isolation in Lee County, meaning an additional 17 people have been placed in isolation since yesterday’s press release. These individuals are in isolation pending test results.

SPRINGFIELD – The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) today announced 168 new cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Illinois, including another death; a Cook County man in his 70s. DeKalb County is now also reporting a case. Currently, IDPH is reporting a total of 753 cases in 26 counties in Illinois (percentage of case by county below). Cases have occurred in ages 3 to 99.
