DIXON — Wilma G. Staley, 81, of Dixon, died Monday, Feb. 20, 2017, at Dixon Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Dixon. She worked at Borg Warner prior to her retirement.

Visitation will be from 4 – 8 p.m., on Thursday, Feb. 23, 2017, at Preston-Schilling Funeral Home in Dixon and from 10 a.m., until time of funeral services on Friday, at Northside Baptist Church, Dixon, with the Rev. Daniel Bentz, pastor, officiating.

Wilma was born May 24, 1935, in Williamson County, the daughter of Virgil and F. Ellen (William) Edwards. She married George Staley on July 27, 1955, in Polo. He preceded her in death on January 25, 2014. Wilma was a member of Northside Baptist Church in Dixon for over 20 years. She was also a member of the Rebekah’s, Daughters of 1812, and the Lee County Historical and Genealogy Society. Wilma enjoyed cooking and quilting.

She is survived by one daughter, Karen (Frank) King; two sons, Mark (Regina) Staley, Chris (Georgia) Staley; one sister, Katherine Coley, all of Dixon; four grandchildren, Rebecca (Sam Berry) King, Michael (Christina Plog) Staley, Mark Staley II, Tyler Staley; and one step-grandson, Christopher Jeanblanc.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Wesley Edwards; and one sister, Dorothy Calhoun.

A memorial has been established to Serenity Hospice & Home in Oregon.
