AMBOY — There will be a Veteran’s Day program at Amboy High School at 10 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 11, in the new gym.  

The Amboy American Legion will post the colors under the leadership of Commander Jack Mead. The combined high school and junior high band and chorus will perform, as well as, the Central Elementary School students.  

This event is open to the public. All Veterans are encouraged to attend and be recognized.

Immediately following the program, the Amboy American Legion will hold a flag retirement ceremony at Veterans Park. They will also dedicate a box for retired flags in honor of Cecil Harrison who passed away on June 2, 2022. A rifle volley will also be done in honor of the veterans.
