AMBOY — Alexzandra Vaessen, daughter of Jeff and Jennifer Vaessen, has been named the Amboy High School Student of the Month for May.

GPA: 3.88

Memberships and Involvement: My memberships and involvements at Amboy are being a two-year member of National Honor Society, Art Club, and a two year member of the Football Cheerleading team.

Awards and Honors: I have had Highest Honors and High Honors all four years, I am in the top 5 students of my class, I received the Shirley Wolf WACC Scholarship, and the Sauk Scholarship Award. 

Best Memories of AHS: During my time at the high school I was able to make many great memories but some of my favorites are being chosen as Freshman and Senior Homecoming Attendent, participating in Homecoming Skit Night, acting in Clue for the Fall Play, and Spirit Weeks, and Art Field Trips.

Future Plans:  My future plans after AHS are to attend Sauk Valley Community College, Working in phlebotomy, and hopefully attending Wheaton College or going to an Ultrasound Tech School.
