AMBOY — Troy A. Roof-McGuire, age 28, of Amboy, died Sunday, May 14, 2017, in his home. He was born February 6, 1989, in Los Gatos, CA, the son of Grant McGuire and Julie Roof.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., on Saturday, May 20, 2017, in the Mihm-Jones Funeral Home in Amboy with the Rev. Frank Brozenec, officiating. Burial will follow in Woodside Cemetery in Lee Center. Visitation will be held from 2 - 4 p.m. and 6 - 8 p.m., on Friday, May 19, in the funeral home.
He worked at Unimin's in Oregon. Troy enjoyed driving and participating in Demolition Derbys.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Jesse and Darlene McGuire; maternal grandfather John Orrick.
Survivors include his mother, Julie (Bernie) Knight, of Hospers, Iowa; his father, Grant (Vicki) McGuire, of Amboy; three daughters, Aubrey, Berkleigh, and Lettie; maternal grandparents, Randy and Janice Roof and Kathy Orrick; two brothers, Trevor and Trey Knight; four sisters, Heidi Henderson, Melissa Stoddard, Amber Miller, and Abby Shepherd; and his fiancée Brittney Edwards.
