AMBOY – Three Amboy Clipper junior varsity wrestlers reached the championship match in their respective weight class at the Amboy Junior Varsity Wrestling Tournament on Jan. 6.
Hayden Montavon claimed the championship in the 132-pound division with a thrilling 8-7 victory over Isaac Rollinger of Dixon in the title bout.
Two other Clippers – Jake Schaver and Dorian Barlow – took second-place honors.
Amboy finished in seventh place out of 16 schools in the team standings.
