Sublette annual antique toy and farm tractor show this weekend

SUBLETTE — This weekend will be the 41st Annual Sublette Antique Tractor and Toy Show.
The show, which is $3 admission and free to six and under, will feature toy vendors with all varieties of farm toys and tractors, cars, semitrucks, and arts and crafts.
Each year the Sublette Antique Tractor & Toy Show features a specific tractor. This year’s special guest is the J.I. Case Tractor.
Founded by Jerome Increase Case, the Case Corporation (originally the J.I. Case Threshing Machine Company and also called the J.I. Case Company) manufactured agricultural machinery and construction equipment from 1842 until it closed in November of 1999.
At one point, Case was one of the top options for steam engines, portable engines, traction engines, and steam tractors.
In 1957, Case bought out the American Tractor Corporation and produced a hybrid tractor called the 320 Construction King, which became synonymous with the title backhoe loaders.
Case continued its success in tractors through the 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, and the 1990s.
The J.I. Case Tractor is the feature item, but there will be many toys to look at, check out, or purchase as vendors come from Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, and Iowa.
Fire Department Breakfast
One of the popular events of the Sublette Toy Show is the annual Pancake and Sausage Breakfast served by the Sublette Volunteer Fire Department. The breakfast is served on the Sunday of the show from 7 a.m. until noon at the Sublette Fire Department. It’s a great opportunity to start your day with a good breakfast and help out the local fire department.
50/50 Raffle
Each year the Sublette Toy Show committee sells 50/50 tickets to help fund local community projects. They are sold by committee members and at local businesses prior to the show. Then on toy show days, tickets are sold at a trailer located at the corner of Main and Richmond streets. The winner of the drawing will receive one-half of the money taken in. Each year the fund reaches a higher level. Be sure to get your tickets so you have a chance at being the big winner.
