AMBOY — Kylie Highbarger was announced the 2017 Student of the Year at Honors Night held at Amboy High School on Thursday, May 18.
The First National Bank in Amboy is the sponsor of this $4,000.00 scholarship award. This is the 34th year the Bank has sponsored this scholarship at Amboy High School. Highbarger will be attending St. Ambrose University this fall and plans to pursue a degree in Exercise Science and double minor in Spanish and Psychology with plans to graduate in five years with a Doctorate in physical therapy as a part of their Track 1 program; an elite program offered by St. Ambrose that consists of only 15 students.
Nine students of the month were also recognized and awarded $400. They were: Delaney Wilhelm. Katelyn Pankhurst, Kylie Highbarger, Cain Powers, Jordan Hochstatter, Arianna Noble, Emma Lindenmeyer, Megan Grady, Hannah Grady.
The First National Bank in Amboy congratulates all the graduates and wishes them good luck in their future endeavors.
