DIXON — Sharon M. Harney, 62, of Dixon, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, Jan. 7, 2021 at KSB Hospital in Dixon.
She was born on Sept. 27, 1958 in Dixon, the daughter of Charles and Helen (Hanson) Fisher.
Sharon worked for Borg Warner for over 42 years before her retirement.
She was a member of the Dixon Elks Lodge in Dixon.
On May 29, 1976 Sharon married William "Willie" Harney in Dixon.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Sharon is survived by her husband, Willie; children, Angie (Shawn Foley) Massey, of Freeport, and Tim (Amy Mills) Harney, of Rock Falls; four grandchildren, Ryan Massey, Morgan Massey, Ashley Foley, and Jacob Harney. She is also survived by her two brothers, Charles (Carol) Fisher Jr., and David (Mary) Fisher, who both reside in Dixon.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2021 from 4 to 7 p.m., at the Jones Funeral Home in Dixon. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2021, at 10:30 a.m., at the Jones Funeral Home in Dixon with burial to follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Dixon. A memorial in Sharon's memory has been established.
