DIXON — Sharon Lilly, 74, of Dixon, passed away, Saturday, Sept. 30, 2017, at Serenity Hospice & Home in Oregon.
Sharon was also preceded in death by her husband, parents and two sisters in infancy.
Gathering of family and friends will be 9:30 a.m., until time of memorial service at 10:30 a.m., on Saturday, Oct. 7, 2017, at Preston-Schilling Funeral Home in Dixon, with Pastor Jack Briggs officiating.
Sharon was born April 5, 1943, in Savanna, the daughter of Francis and Minnie (Schulte) Keegan. Sharon married Roy E. Lilly on Dec. 9, 1978, in Dixon. He preceded her in death on June 9, 2014. She taught at Dillon School for Rock Falls School district 13 and Sauk Valley Community College, in the Adult Education Department before retiring in 2012.
Sharon is survived by her sister, Sheila Keegan, of North Aurora; one brother, Steve (Jeanette) Keegan; one niece; two nephews; one great niece; and five great nephews. three stepdaughters, Patricia Lilly, of Loves Park, Mandy (Matt) Francis, of Blue Springs, Mo., Sharon (Chuck) Kueter, of Bellevue, Iowa; three stepsons, Harold Lilly, of Redding Calif., Randy Lilly, of Dixon, and Brian (JoAnne) Lilly, of Sterling.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to Granny Rose Animal Shelter.
Arrangements are being completed by Preston-Schilling Funeral Home, Dixon.
