AMBOY — For many years members of the Amboy American Legion Auxiliary, the members of the Amboy American Legion, plus volunteers from Amboy and Sublette have sold poppies on Memorial Day weekend.
The money raised is spent entirely on our veterans. Each year, we give a generous donation towards the Honor Flight. We also host the veterans who have just completed traveling on the flight and hear their stories. In addition to this we take gifts to our veterans in the nursing home every holiday and special occasion. This year we will again be out from 6 a.m. – 6 p.m., both Friday and Saturday.
Remember freedom is not free. Please show your appreciation and be generous.
