FAIRVIEW HEIGHTS — Scott D. Eddy, 69, of Fairview Heights, formerly of Dixon, passed away Sept. 26, 2017 in St. Louis, Mo.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of funeral services at 1 p.m., on Saturday, Oct. 7, 2017, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, with the Pastor David Schweppe, officiating. Burial will follow after the luncheon at Nelson Cemetery in Nelson.

Scott was born Jan. 5, 1948 in Dixon, the son of Harold L. and Geraldine L. (Janssen) Eddy. Scott was an insurance agent for over 20 years. He was a member of the Elks Lodge, #779 in Dixon where he served as their Exalted Ruler. In his free time, he loved to play golf.  A musician since the age of 14, Scott played the drums and sang for several different bands.

He is survived by his loving wife, Mary (Schneider) Eddy whom he married in 2004; three daughters, Sharilyn M. Eddy and  Stacia M. (Kirk) Staples, of Dixon, Susan D. Eddy, of Fairview Heights; three stepsons, Richard A. Wallace, John D. Bosick, and Michael J. Bosick; a stepdaughter, Cheryl L. (Eric Guenther) Voges; four sisters, Toby (David) Barnes, Alanna Forari of Moline, Alethea Eddy-Sumner, of St. Louis, Debra (Rick) Good of Naples, Fla.; two brothers, Steven Wilson, of Naples, Fla., Kenn Wilson, of Dixon; three grandchildren, Daniel J. Eddy, Quinn A. Staples, Adam C. Staples;  a great-grandchild, Aubrey M. Eddy and close friend and brother-in-law, Gordon D. (Sandy) Kelly.

A special Thank You to all the staff at Barnes Jewish Neurology Department, and Neuro ICU, for their special kindness and comfort shown to Scott and his family.

Scott was preceded in death by his parents, Harold L. (Pauline) Eddy and Geraldine (Warren) Knelson.

In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established to Siteman Cancer Center, Washington University, CB 1204, 7425 Forsyth Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63105-2161.
