TAYLOR RIDGE – Amboy-LaMoille cross country runners competed in the Rockridge Invitational on Aug. 30 at Taylor Ridge.
The Lady Clippers took second place in the team standings with three of the top five finishers. Margaret Vaessen led the way for A-L with a second overall finish in a time of 21:29. Kaitlyn Ortgiesen crossed the finish line in third place with a clocking of 22:17, while Kelynn Boyle was fifth in 22:48. Bailey Bickett (28:14) and Rachel Rieker (29:57) also competed.
In the boys’ competition, the Clippers were third in the team standings. Thomas Stamberger was the first A-L runner to cross the finish line in third place with a time of 17:17. Brock Loftus (19:01) and Ian Eller (19:03) occupied the 15thand 16thpositions, respectively. Rounding out the Clipper team were Mateo Ramis (25th, 20:09), Calvin Deering (26th, 20:17) and Andruw Jones (52nd, 23:15).
