AMBOY — Robert J. Fuller, 73, of Amboy, passed away Monday, Nov. 23rd, 2020, at the home of his daughter in Clinton, Iowa.

He was born on Dec. 19, 1946, in Chicago, and was the son of Fred and Florence (Heinzel) Fuller. Robert worked at Aurora Packing Company for 41 years prior to his retirement in 2018.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, John (Helga) Fuller.

Robert is survived by his four children, Matthew (Mackenzie) Fuller, of Amboy, Brittany (Nick) Barbari, of Plainfield, Michelle (Nick Mangusing) Fuller, of Clinton, Iowa, and Bianca (Montana Myers) Fuller, of Dixon. Robert was also blessed with four grandchildren, Bronson, Amira, Marley and Zayla with one additional grandson on the way. He is also survived by three siblings, Sandra (Bob) Shannon, of Western Springs, Joan (Morris) Lenk, of California and Fred "Boots" Fuller, of Calumet City.

Robert was the most patient, kind, hardworking family man there was. He always made sure everyone else was taken care of before himself. His love for his children, grandchildren and animals was unmatched. His free time was spent with them, as well as spoiling his grandchildren as much as he possibly could. His smile could light up a room, and no one ever got tired of his same favorite dad jokes. He will truly be missed by everyone who knew him.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. - 12:45 p.m., on Saturday, Nov. 28, 2020, at the Mihm-Jones Funeral Home in Amboy with a limit of 10 people at a time. A private family service will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at St. Patrick Cemetery in Amboy. Face masks are required at the visitation and service.
