DIXON — Regina H. "Jean" Morrissey, 92, of Dixon, died Saturday, Oct. 13, 2018, at KSB Hospital in Dixon.
She was born April 24, 1926, in Dixon, the daughter of Clarence and Margaret (Friel) Morrissey.
Jean was a graduate of Community Catholic High School in Sterling in 1944.
She had been a School Teacher for 50 years, most recently at Lincoln School in Dixon for 30 years prior to her retirement.
Jean was a Nun with the Sisters of Loretto for 25 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Tom Morrissey.
Survivors include her brother, Clarence "Bud" (Joyce) Morrissey Jr., of Amboy; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m., on Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2018, in the Mihm-Jones Funeral Home in Amboy. Burial will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery in Amboy. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, from 2 p.m. until time of service in the funeral home.
