AMBOY — Otis B. "O.B." Horner, 84, of Amboy died Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2020 at his home.
He was born March 21, 1935 in Jefferson County, Tenn., the son of Johnnie and Edith (Talbott) Horner.
He was a partsman for IDOT for over 15 years prior to his retirement, O.B. was also a Veteran of the U.S. Army.
O.B. married Dorothy Berogan on Dec. 10, 1956 in Greenville, S.C. She preceded him in death Dec. 22, 2018.
He was also preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Louise Hartle.
O.B. is survived by his children, Rob (Liz) Horner, of Bastrop, Texas, Greg Horner, of Ohio, IL., and Pam Horner, of Tonica; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren; and a sister, Peggy Brushaber, of Rock Falls.
Visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m., on Monday, Jan. 6, at the Mihm-Jones Funeral Home in Amboy. A graveside service with military honors by the Amboy American Legion Post will follow at Prairie Repose Cemetery in Amboy. Condolences may be sent online at www.thejonesfh.com.
