DIXON — Olive “Sally” Marcella Culver, 95, of Dixon, died Thursday, Aug. 24, 2017, at Serenity Hospice & Home in Oregon.
Visitation will be from 1 – 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 27, 2017, at Preston-Schilling Funeral Home, Dixon. Memorial Service will be 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 28, 2017 at Northside Baptist Church, Dixon, with the Rev. Daniel Bentz, pastor, officiating. Burial of cremains will immediately follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Dixon.
Sally was born Sept. 30, 1921, in Sterling, the daughter of Marshall and Ida (Nash) Parker. She married Donald A. Culver on April 28, 1945, in Quincy. He preceded her in death on Oct. 26, 2001.
Sally is survived by her son, Donald D. (Wakenna) Culver, of Edgewood, Ky.; one daughter, Rose Davis, of Amboy; 11 grandchildren, Michael (Becky) Helfrich, Charles (Kathy) Helfrich, Bill (Laura) Helfrich, Dan (Melody) Helfrich, John (Kim) Helfrich, Don (Sally) Helfrich, Glenn (Rachel) Helfrich, Janette (Dave) Kutz, Ron Kemp, Lisa Culver, D. Zack (Gabby) Culver; numerous great grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and two granddaughters-in-law, Lisa Helfrich and Lynn Helfrich.
Sally was also preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Barbara Helfrich, Sharon Kemp; two grandsons, Albert Helfrich Jr., Scott Helfrich; two sons-in-law, Butch Kemp, Albert Helfrich; and 14 brothers and sisters, Louise Parker, Mildred Parker, Chuck Parker, Melvin Parker, Robert Parker, Emily Parker, Mort Parker, Mary Parker, Everett Jones, Elmer Jones, Ernie Jones, Edward Jones, Art Jones and Iva Jones.
Arrangements are being completed by Preston-Schilling Funeral Home, Dixon.
