AMBOY — Alexis Morgan, daughter of Julie Piper Morgan and Todd Morgan, has been chosen as the January Student of the Month for Amboy High School.
GPA: 3.9/4.0
Memberships and Involvement: “I am an active member of Leo’s Club, Student Council, National Honor Society, and Spanish Honor Society. In addition, I hold positions as treasurer for Student Council and National Honor Society and as the northwest district treasurer of Student Council. I am also a Red Cross Program Leader outside of school, which allows me to host blood drives within our community and dancer/teacher at Starlight Dance Studio.”
Awards and Honors: “Over my three semesters taking dual enrollment at Sauk Valley Community College, I made the Dean’s List once and the President’s List twice. At Amboy High School, I have also made the highest honor roll, other than one semester, where I obtained high honors.”
Best Memories of AHS: “My best memories at AHS would have to be anytime I was with my friends. We always have a great time, and we are in a lot of the same classes. Being in classes with my friends made for a fun time while learning.”
Future Plans: “I plan to attend a four-year university, most likely Illinois State University, and obtain my Bachelor’s in Accounting. I plan to further my education after that as well and at some point graduate with a Master’s.”
