VALPARAISO, Ind. — Mary Margaret Bauer (nee Morrissey), age 95 years, passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at the VNA Hospice Center in Valparaiso, Ind.
She was born in Amboy, on Nov. 29, 1926 and graduated from Amboy Township High School, and later resided in Joliet for many years.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, daughter and treasured friend to many.
Preceded in death by her husband, Roger; her daughter, Christine Bauer; her parents, James and Marie (nee Doran) Morrissey; and brothers Charles and Stephen Morrissey.
She is survived by her loving children, M. Lynn (Robert) Sutton, Constance M. (James) Sutton, Philip M. (Gail) Bauer, Jeffrey N. Bauer and Janet (Robert) Griffiths. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, a sister, three brothers and many nieces and nephews.
Mary Margaret was a member of the United Church of God, Moose Lodge in Elgin and Cantigny Post VFW #367 Ladies Auxiliary in Joliet. She was employed for many years in the Loss Prevention/Security Dept. for a Credit Card Company.
Private funeral services will be held on Friday, July 29, 2022 with interment at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Joliet.
