AMBOY — Marian I. Weidman, 93, of Amboy, died Thursday, Dec. 7, 2017, at Maple Crossing in Amboy. She was born Aug. 25, 1924, in Sterling, the daughter of Lester and Hazel (Shelley) Birdsall.

AMBOY — Marian I. Weidman, 93, of Amboy, died Thursday, Dec. 7, 2017, at Maple Crossing in Amboy. She was born Aug. 25, 1924, in Sterling, the daughter of Lester and Hazel (Shelley) Birdsall.
She had worked at Green River Ordnance Plant during World War II.
She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Amboy, the Amboy Fire Department Flamettes, and Shady Oaks Country Club in Amboy where she was two time women's club champion.
Marian married Wayne H. Weidman June 16, 1946 in Sterling. He preceded her in death Nov. 8, 2005.
She was also preceded in death by one sister, Betty Birdsall.
She is survived by two daughters, Linda Weidman, of Amboy and Marcia Blake, of Dixon; four sons, Dennis (Brooke) Weidman, of Amboy, Gary (Christine) Weidman, of Amboy, Dean Weidman of Amboy, and Brian (Gwen) Weidman, of Dixon; five grandchildren, Angie (Dan) Kolthoff, Erica (Justin) Saathoff and Aaron (Megan) Weidman, Joseph Blake, and Kody Grove; and six great-grandchildren.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Monday, Dec. 11, 2017, in Immanuel Lutheran Church in Amboy with the Rev. Barb Otten, Pastor, officiating. Burial of cremains will be at a later date in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Dixon. Visitation will be held from 4 – 7 p.m., on Sunday, Decc. 10, at Mihm-Jones Funeral Home in Amboy. A memorial has been established to the Immanuel Lutheran Church and Nachusa Grasslands.
