AMBOY — Shirlene Lowe, of Amboy, will be turning 90 on Oct. 20, 2021.
She was born in 1931 in Findlay. She married Robert Lowe on June 1, 1952 in Elwin. He passed away in 2015.
Shirlene is a retired LPN and Pharmacy Technician. She was a volunteer hospice nurse for 19 years. She is a member of Zion Methodist Church in Mendota, and the Faith United Methodist UMW in Polo. She is past president of the Dekalb District of the United Methodist Women.
Shirlene and Bob raised two children, Jeffrey (Barbara) Lowe, who passed away in 2005, and Susan (Stephen) Florschuetz, Sublette. She is grandma to five, great-grandma to 11, and step great-grandma to two.
