AMBOY – Linda M. Boysen, 74, of Amboy, died Dec. 10, 2017 at KSB Hospital in Dixon.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, Dec. 15 beginning with a 9:30 a.m. prayer service at the Mihm-Jones Funeral Home in Amboy followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Amboy with Rev. Timothy Draper officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Dixon. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 14 with a 7:30 p.m. scripture service at the funeral home.
Linda was born Nov. 12, 1943 in Evergreen Park to Joseph and Helena (Hermanowski) Chorvat. She married Robert Boysen on Sept. 3. 1966 at St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Evergreen Park.
Survivors include her husband; two children, Kenneth (Sheri) Boysen of Santa Fe, Texas and Cynthia (Jeffrey) Shaw of Amboy; five grandchildren, Alexa, Aaron, Avery and Alena Shaw, and Robert Boysen II.
She was preceded in death by her parents
Linda had worked at the Dixon Telegraph and the Amboy News prior to her retirement. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Amboy where she had been a CCD teacher for many years. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society and was a founding member of the Living History Antique Equipment Association.
