Lee County Dec. 6, 2021 COVID updat


LEE COUNTY — The Lee County Health Department announces 194 new positive cases between Nov. 30 – Dec. 6. 

Here are the ages that were reported: 34 under the age of 12, 21 in his or her teens, 19 in his or her 20s, 34 in his or her 30s, 28 in his or her 40s, 24 in his or her 50s, 20 in his or her 60s, 8 in his or her 70s, 5 on his or her 80s, and 1 in his or her 90s. A total of 9 residents are currently hospitalized.

Vaccine

As of Dec. 13, according to IDPH 42,917 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Lee County, and a total of 18,588 people in Lee County are fully vaccinated, which is 54.31 percent of the population. A total of 20,043 have received at least one dose of the vaccine. A total of 6,390 people have received the vaccine booster shot.

The IDPH has also listed Ashton-Franklin Center as having two school outbreaks of COVID-19. The first was reported on Dec. 7, citing sports as the source, with less than 5 cases. The second was reported on Dec. 8, citing classroom as the source, with less than 5 cases.
