LEE CENTER — As part of the Lee Center United Church of Christ 175th anniversary celebration, the church will be offering a brief history of the Lee Center churches and town history. This event will be held at 1 p.m., on Sunday, April 8, in the church sanctuary. The presentation will be led by Michael Jahn.

Lee Center Church to present brief history

LEE CENTER — As part of the Lee Center United Church of Christ 175th anniversary celebration, the church will be offering a brief history of the Lee Center churches and town history. This event will be held at 1 p.m., on Sunday, April 8, in the church sanctuary. The presentation will be led by Michael Jahn.

He will be focus on the various churches that have been in the community since its founding, and local village history with a Power Point presentation of people, businesses, homes, etc.

If you have items of Lee Center interest that you would like to show, please bring them with you.

There will be a discussion after the presentation. Snacks, coffee and lemonade will be furnished for the meeting.

Come and join the church for some fun reminiscing and old time Lee Center.

One of Lee Center's most famous citizens was Louie Lippincott, here with his wife Harriett. Louie took many of the photographs to be shown on Sunday afternoon at the Lee Center UCC history program. Louie ran a photography and printing business in Lee Center in the early 1900s.
