The Lady Clippers jumped out to an 8-0 lead and were in front 16-8 after the dust settled on the first quarter. Newark began getting the ball inside in the second period and fouls mounted up in the post for Amboy. That allowed the Lady Norsemen to close the gap to one, 22-21, at the break. Newark owned a 37-36 advantage heading to the final chapter where the Lady Clippers exploded for 17 points and held Newark to seven.

Lachat had eight of Amboy’s fourth-quarter points and finished with a team-high 13. She also had three assists.
