AMBOY — The Amboy Lady Clippers basketball team held two bake sales recently.
All funds from the sales are going to Kaitlyn (Kate) Marschang, 16, the daughter of Ray and Rebecca Marschang and the sister of Alissa. Kate is a junior from Polo Community High School. In late November Kate was diagnosed with Small Cell Ovarian Cancer, a rare and aggressive cancer that mainly affects young women. She and her family have a very long road ahead. The funds from the bake sales will help ease the financial strain so Ray and Rebecca can focus on Kate and her recovery.
Thank you to everyone who donated to and purchased from our bake sale on Jan. 25 at Main Street Salon and the bake sale at the Pink Out Night on Feb. 1. The generosity of our community is truly amazing.
