AMBOY – The Amboy-LaMoille Lady Clippers went up against four other teams in a track meet on May 1 at the AHS track.
Milledgeville dominated the competition, piling up 127 points to run away with the team title. The Lady Clippers were next with 39 points, followed by Ashton-Franklin Center (28), Hinckley-Big Rock (20) and Earlville (1).
A-L picked up two first-place finishes. Margaret Vaessen claimed the 800-meter run with a time of 2:30.78, while the 4x400-meter relay team cruised to a win in a time of 4:20.81. Runners were Ashley Althaus, Cassidy Corcoran, Sidney Corcoran and Brooklyn Whelchel.
