AMBOY — The Amboy varsity volleyball team picked up three more wins last week to improve its record to 5-1 overall and 4-0 in the conference.
Amboy traveled to Sandwich on March 29 and came away with a 22-25, 25-22, 25-22 win.
Gabby Jones led with 27 assists and two ace serves. Mallory Powers and Brooklyn Whelchel each picked up three blocks, while Powers also had 15 kills and 14 digs. Eden Lindenmeyer paced the team with 21 digs and Madelyn McLaughlin chipped in with seven kills.

The Lady Clippers needed three sets to dispose of Milledgeville 13-25, 27-25, 25-13 on March 30 at the AHS gym.
Leaders in kills were Olivia Dinges (6) and Powers (4). Topping the team in digs were Lindenmeyer (8), Powers (6) and McLaughlin (6), while Gabby Jones had three ace serves and 15 assists.

Amboy and Milledgeville met up again on April 1 at Milledgeville and the Lady Clippers won on straight sets 25-17, 25-23.
Powers put down eight kills and dug up five digs to lead the club, while McLaughlin posted 18 assists and three aces. Elly Jones aided the cause with four kills and three assists.
