AMBOY — Hiawatha needed three sets to defeat the Amboy Lady Clippers, 25-16, 11-25, 25-21, in varsity volleyball action on Aug. 30 at Kirkland.
Courtney Ortgiesen picked up four blocks, four kills and four digs for the Lady Clippers. Chloe Heath added five aces, two kills and four digs, while Elly Jones had three aces and 11 assists. Lexi Ketchum helped out with a pair of kills and Madison O’Malley recorded two aces.

Oregon turned back the Lady Clippers, 25-15, 25-11, on Sept. 2 at the AHS gym.
Tyrah Vaessen and Ortgiesen collected three and two kills, respectively for Amboy. Others leading the stat chart were O’Malley with two aces, Vaessen with two blocks and Jones with seven assists.
