Amboy’s bats came alive in a 13-0 pounding of Polo on May 10 at the AHS field.

The Lady Clippers posted single runs in the first and second innings, and three runs in the third before exploding for eight tallies in the fourth. The game was stopped by the 10-run rule after Polo batted in the fifth.

Highbarger hit and pitched the Lady Clippers to victory. At the plate, Highbarger had four singles in as many at-bats and drove in three runs. Mallory Powers picked up a pair of singles and two RBI, while Lytle doubled and drove in one.

In the circle, Highbarger allowed just two hits, struck out seven and did not issue a free pass.

Amboy concluded the regular season at 11-7 and the conference campaign at 7-6.
