DIXON – Kathryn Jennie Yingling, 96, of Dixon, died Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2017, at Serenity Hospice and Home, in Oregon.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of funeral services at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, Aug. 8, at the Preston-Schilling Funeral, Dixon, with Pastor Jack Briggs, officiating. Burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens at a later date.
Kathryn was born Aug. 1, 1921, in Freeport, the daughter of George and Rena (Terhark) Sneek. She married Lawrence Yingling on June 21, 1941, in St. Charles, Mo.
Kathryn is survived by her husband, Lawrence Yingling; two sons, Larry (Nora) Yingling and Ron (Michele) Yingling, all of Polo; one brother, Melvin (Mary) Sneek of Dixon; five grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Simon, Alfred, and Fred Sneek; and one sister, Jenny Thompson.
She worked for Borden Dairy and Montgomery Wards, prior to her retirement.
