AMBOY — Judith "Judy" Anderson, 78, of Amboy, died on Friday, May 13, 2022 at KSB Hospital in Dixon.
She was born on Jan 28, 1944 in Princeton, the daughter of Philip and Charlotte (Piaszyk) Byczynski. Judy worked as a Dental Assistant in Amboy for Dr. Shapiro, Fox, and Hochstatter for over 35 years. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Amboy, and St. Vincent DePaul Society food pantry.
Judy married Lawrence "Jim" Anderson on July 3, 1974 in Aurora. He preceded her in death on Aug. 17, 2006.
She is also preceded in death by one great-granddaughter; two brothers, Albert Byczynski, William Byczynski; and three sisters, Bertha Saltzman, Pearl Hand, and Mildred Byczynski.
Judy is survived by her children, Jeff (Cindy) Byers, of Princeton, Laura (Dan) Koch, of Dixon, Vicky (Fred) Appleman, of Amboy, Christopher (Jenni) Anderson, of Dixon, and Jody (Roy) Anderson, of Amboy; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She is also survived by three sisters, Joan Estes, of Rockford, Joanne Tornow, of Rockford, and Phyllis Brown, of Colorado; and special niece Deb Shaw, of Amboy.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 from 4 to 7 p.m., at the Mihm-Jones Funeral Home in Amboy and then again on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 from 10 to 11 a.m., at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Amboy. There will be a saying of the Rosary before the visitation at 3:30 p.m., at the Mihm-Jones Funeral Home in Amboy. Funeral services will be on Wednesday May 18, 2022 at 11 a.m., at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Amboy. Cremation rites will follow. Memorial donations can be made to St. Vincent DePaul Society at St. Patricks.
