AMBOY - Jean Marie (Sparagna) Wright, 77, of Amboy, formerly of Lombard, died peacefully in her home on Jan. 8, 2019 surrounded by family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 20 at Grace Fellowship Church in Amboy. Private burial will be held at a later date.
Jean was born Oct. 16, 1941 in Cicero to Alessandro and Michelina Sparagna. She married Tom Wright on Sept. 12, 1972 in Wheaton. He proceeded her in death on Nov. 20, 2017.
Survivors include her children, Vincent Magrini, of Columbus, Ohio, Ron Magrini, of Marengo, Matthew (Lisa) Wright, of Marysville, Wash., and Michelina Wright, of Sherman Oaks, Calif.; seven grandchildren, Alex, Lauren, Marco and Gabriella Magrini, Gavin, Ephraim and Felicity Wright, and Ava Morales; two great-grandchildren, Hayden and Evan; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; two brothers, John and Phil; and her parents.
After graduating from high school, Jean was a dedicated wife and mother to her children. In her later years, she worked at The Meadows in Glen Ellen. She was a long time member of Lombard Bible Church and after moving to Amboy, East Grove Union Church and Grace Fellowship Church Amboy. Her faith was one of her most precious gifts.
A memorial has been established to Grace Fellowship Church Amboy.
