DIXON — Janice L Hanson, 75, of Dixon, died Saturday Sept. 14, 2019 at KSB Hospital in Dixon.
She was born May 25, 1944, in Kewanee, the daughter of Lawrence and Lucille (Bumphrey) Foltz. She had been a homemaker for Laurence Clayton for many years. Janice enjoyed crafts, crocheting and games.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son and daughter in law, Ron and Traci Hanson; one sister, Judith Housh; former husband, Ron Hanson Sr; and friend, Laurence Clayton.
Janice is survived by her children, Mike (Darla) Wright, of Eyota, Minn., Betty Hanson, of Dixon, Eric (Rachel) Hanson, of Amboy; 17 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters, Patricia Rosenow, of Wyanet, Loretta (Franklin) Brown, of Dixon, Sherry Vaughn, of Sandoval; several nieces and nephews; and special friend Larry Wright, of Toulon.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., on Wednesday Sept. 18, 2019, in the Mihm-Jones Funeral Home in Amboy with the Rev. Rocky Fritz officiating. Burial will follow in Prairie Repose Cemetery in Amboy. Visitation will be from 1 – 3 p.m., on Wednesday at the funeral home. A memorial has been established.
