AMBOY — James W. Hanson, 71, of Amboy, died Tuesday, March 27, 2018, at KSB Hospital in Dixon.
He was born April 7, 1946, in Chicago, the son of Leon and Alma (Holder) Hanson.
He had worked for Ameritech for 28 years prior to his retirement in 1995. James was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electric Workers.
James was a Veteran of the Army during the Vietnam War.
He married Kimberly Summerfield in Bensenville September 12, 1992.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife; daughter, Jamie (Caleb) Daniels, of Harmon; two granddaughters, Coraline and London; and step-daughter, Kathy Bua, of Melrose Park and step-son, Joseph Bua, of Scottsdale, Ariz.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Coraline Daniel's name to Chicagoland Buddy Walk.
