ROCKFORD — James "Jim" Everett Dickison, 70, passed away peacefully Monday, Feb. 15, 2021.
He was born June 24, 1950, in Rockford, the son of Marion (Coleman) and Richard "Dale" Dickison. He grew up in Amboy, earned the nickname “Moose,” and excelled in sports and creating merry mischief.
Jim married Anna Race on Sept. 12, 1982, in Rockford.
From Chicago Bears football and dart tournaments to computers and gun clubs, Jim enjoyed his life passions to the fullest, while making great friends along the way. His sense of humor, contagious laughter, and sweet personality will be missed by so many.
He was proceeded in death by his mother, Marion, his father, Dale, his stepfather, Irvin Leuscher, and half-brother, Michael Leuscher.
He is survived by his wife, Anna; daughter, Anne Dickison and two grandchildren, Beckett and Evie Dickison of Amboy; and siblings, Duane (Connie) Dickison, of Amboy and Kathy (Tim) Schutz, of Dixon.
We're all so grateful for the time we had with him and know that he's up there somewhere bringing joy wherever he goes.
A walk through visitation will be held from 1 - 2 p.m., on Monday, Feb. 22, at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Road, Rockford. Private family service and burial. Masks and social distancing are required.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for a cause to be determined.
