AMBOY — Justin Hart was announced the “2018 Student of the Year” at Honors Night held at Amboy High School on Thursday, May 17.
The First National Bank in Amboy is the sponsor of this $4,250 scholarship award. This is the 35th year the bank has sponsored this scholarship at Amboy High School. Hart will be attending North Central College in the fall to pursue a career in criminal justice and hopes to one day work for the DEA or Homeland Security. Hart will also be playing on their men’s basketball team.
Nine students of the month were also recognized and awarded $425. They were: Molly Ackert, Justin Hart, Reece Vaessen, Kallie Appleman, Cassidy Corcoran, Kaitlin Tarr, Rayven Wehling, Logan Winters and Mason Costner.
The First National Bank in Amboy congratulates all the students and wishes them good luck in their future endeavors.
