AMBOY — The public is invited to help Ray and Mary Harrison, of Amboy, celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary beginning with a Mass of celebration at 4:30 p.m. in St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Amboy on Saturday, Aug. 26. Following the Mass there will be a party hosted by their five children, at the Amboy Community Center from 5:30 – 8 p.m. with a buffet dinner being served until 7 p.m.

Ray and Mary (Oberschelp) were married at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Dixon on Aug. 31, 1957. They are the proud parents of five children. David Scott (Kathy) Harrison, of Amboy, Cheryl (Bruno) Kapacinskas, of Bradenton, Fla., Christopher (Angie) Harrison, of Dixon, Randall Harrison, of Dixon, and Dr. Jacqueline Harrison (Sean) Hayden, of Hinsdale. Ray and Mary have 12 grandchildren: Jessica (John) Berek, of Greys Lake, Aaron (Melissa) Harrison, of Amboy, Andrew (Sheena) Harrison, of Lindenhurst, Tim Becker, of Hillside, Eric Becker, of Hanahan, S.C., Emily (Vince) Center. of Watertown, N.Y. and Molly, Jacob and Jared Harrison. all of Dixon, Stephanie, Caroline and Melanie Hayden, of Hinsdale. At this time Ray and Mary have five great-grandchildren.
