BLOOMINGTON – The Amboy-LaMoille girls’ track team competed in the Clinton Last Chance Meet on March 18 at Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington.
The meet is the unofficial Illinois High School state indoor meet. It was the last chance to qualify for the Illinois Top Times Meet.
The 4x400-meter relay team was ranked 12th coming into the meet and was ranked first after the meet. The squad of Sidney Corcoran, Brooke Whelchel, Emma Lundquist and Ashley Althaus ran a time of 4:18.26.
The same foursome comprised the 4x200 relay, which was ranked 21st heading into the meet.
The team ran a time of 1:52.97 and ranked sixth after the meet.
Individuals participating were Ashley Althaus in the 400-meter dash (1:02.83), Margaret Vaessen in the 800-meter run (2:32.80), Kylee Brown in the long jump (16-1), Lauren Althaus in the 400-meter dash (1:07.07) and Ki’Yanna Moore in the shot put (26-7).
