The flags of five of the armed forces were raised on the semi-circle surrounding the center pole, a sixth will be raised when it arrives. The American flag was raised on the center pole and the POW/MIA flag will fly underneath it. The ceremony marked the opening of the renovated park. The flags will be lit at night.
