In a contest with 10 teams present, the Amboy FFA Agronomy team finished first place overall as a team at the Section 2 Agronomy contest Wednesday night in Rochelle. The contest consisted of 5 different areas of agronomy. The contest includes tests over weed and crop plants as well as farm equipment and insects. Finally, the team judged grain rings. Individual placings include the following: first Landon Whelchel, third Alexa Morris, fifth Luke Corcoran, sixth Brysen Full, seventh Dillon Merriman, eighth Alainie Wittenauer, ninth Caleb Shugars, 10th Kenley Wilson, 11th Adrian Mimini, 12th Jarrett Althaus, 13th Karagen Welch, and 15th Carson Barlow. That is a total of 12 Amboy students in the top 15 placings for the entire event, way to go Agronomy team.
