KEARNEY, Neb. — Elaine A. Gehant, 86, of Kearney, Neb., died Saturday, Nov. 10, 2018, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, Neb.
She was born Aug. 11, 1932, in West Brooklyn, the daughter of George and Zita (Meyer) Gehant.
Elaine worked for Del Monte in Rochelle for eight years, then she was Section Manager for Axa Equitable Insurance Co for 23 years.
She was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Kearney.
Elaine was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Georgene Parks; two brothers, Gilbert and Otto Gehant.
Survivors include her sister, Marybelle Novak, of Dixon; several nieces and nephews; and her very good friend, Georgia Vak, of Kearney.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m., on Saturday, Nov. 17, 2018, in St. Anne Catholic Church in Dixon. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery in West Brooklyn. There will be no visitation.
