AMBOY — The Illinois Audubon Society's Gremel Wildlife Sanctuary saw a new addition thanks to an Eagle Scout Project.
Quinn Bujewski headed up an Eagle Scout project recently building bluebird houses and installing 10 of the houses at the Gremel Wildlife Sanctuary, which is part of the previous Augustana College Green Wing Field Station at 1881 Lewis Road, Amboy. Bujewski built the birdhouses in Chicago with the help of John and Ronin Eichten, Brandon Folk, Collin Coover, Dawid Kasprzyk, John and Paul Biernat, John Bujewski, Eric Minogue, Luke Symonds, and Sam Osorio. It took two days to build the birdhouses and the group ended up with 14 birdhouses. After the houses were built, Bujewski along with Kasprzyk, Biernat, Coover, took the 10 best birdhouses and brought them to the Gremel Wildlife Sanctuary for installation.
