MANCHESTER, Iowa — Dorothy M. Koehler, 90, of Manchester, Iowa, and formerly of Amboy, died Saturday, March 18, 2017, at Good Neighbor Home in Manchester.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Wednesday, March 22, 2017, at St. Patrick Church in Amboy with the Rev. Timothy Draper, Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery in Amboy. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. – 10 a.m., on Wednesday, in the Mihm-Jones Funeral Home in Amboy. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
She was born March 2, 1927, in Sublette, the daughter of Otto and Susan (Kellen) Stephenitch.
She had owned Koehler Pharmacy with her husband in Amboy for over 20 years.
Dorothy was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Amboy; the Amboy American Legion Auxiliary; The Amboy Flamettes; and Shady Oaks Country Club.
She married Eugene M. "Doc" Koehler at St. Patrick Church in Amboy on Aug. 18, 1948. He preceded her in death Nov. 9, 2005. She was also preceded in death by four sisters, Catherine Long, Lucille Glaser, Elaine Powers, and Marcella Stephenitch; and one brother, Harold Stephenitch.
Survivors include her daughter Jeannie (Gene) Seloover, of Earlville, Iowa; her son, Ron (Marilynn) Koehler, of Bloomington, Minn.; three granddaughters, Derri Seloover, of Dubuque, Iowa, Kendra (Scott) Langel, of Earlville, Iowa, and Ashleigh Koehler, of Dublin, Ohio; three great-granddaughters, Teagan, Anniston and Alyssa; her brother, Otto (Lois) Stephenitch Jr., of Canton; her Godson, Carson Barlow, of Amboy; and several nieces and nephews.
