AMBOY — Dorothy Louise Noble, 90, of Amboy, died peacefully May 2, 2021.

Dorothy was born Nov. 19, 1930 to Elbert E. Smith and Thelma V. (Dewey) Smith. She married Keith R. Noble on May 29, 1950. They had three children, Catherine (Steven) Klein, Keith (Cindy) Noble, and Janelle (George Martin) Noble; four grandchildren, Anne Dickison, Grant (Jacquie) Noble, Gregory Martin, and Chris Martin; and three great-grandchildren, Sophia Noble, Beckett Dickison, and Eve Dickison.

She was preceded in death by her husband and son.

Dorothy and Keith owned and operated Amboy Radio & TV for 41 years. In addition to running the family business, Dorothy was an avid baker, talented seamstress, and craftswoman. Dorothy was active in the community as a Girl Scout troop leader, a member of the Rebekahs, and a 25-year volunteer with the AARP Foundation tax aide program. Each spring, she and Keith delivered innumerable dozens of roses for the Amboy Lions Club rose day. Dorothy was a long-time member of the First Baptist Church in Amboy. She enjoyed travel, especially visiting children and grandchildren in California.

Family graveside service will be held at Prairie Repose Cemetery in Amboy.
